Direct Report: Financial Controller
Scope: To control the revenue, banking and cash floats.
Key Accountabilities:
- To collect the night audits and takings from all reception areas.
- To check the revenue daily as to its accuracy.
- To check that the monies have all been received in the specified methods and make any necessary corrections.
- To enter the revenues on the appropriate daily summary sheet ensuring that each day balances and that the VAT is correct.
- To enter the revenues onto the daily reporting/forecast spreadsheets noting any specific oddities for the day.
- To maintain the Management Account, ensuring all receipts have been authorised and signed by a HOD.
- To enter the banking onto the DPS (Daily payments Schedule) spreadsheet daily investigating any banking shortages.
- To email out the daily revenues once they have been reviewed by the Resort Director.
- To query any unusual postings and any apparent non posting of forecasted revenue with the relevant department.
- To check the returning floats for completeness and refloat with change ready for collection by the bar person at 10am each day.
- To prepare any additional floats for functions as and when is necessary.
- To pass all cash and cheques from the takings to the Accounts Assistant in a timely manner for banking.
- To maintain a change float for reception and bars.
- To order change from the security company for delivery to the office in order to maintain sufficient change in the safe to service any forthcoming functions.
- To count the floats at the various receptions and in the safe periodically.
- To analysis the credit card payments coming into the bank account and apportion to the correct outlet.

My Client can offer a competitive basic of between £17,000 + £20,000 per annum. 28 days holiday & the opportunity to work in a stable friendly Finance team made up fo 7 members of staff. Meals on duty at the Hotel and various Hotel Group Discounts.
