Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Bailey Finch Associates are delighted to assist our client with the role of Senior IT Linux System Administrator
 
Required Skills
• Infrastructure Engineer – Linux RPM based systems (Redhat)
• Built and managed large scale high performance virtualized Linux Systems within VMware, KVM or Xen
• Previous experience of continuous build and integration services like GIT, Maven, Hudson, Cruisecontrol and Bambo
• Experience with scripting languages - Perl, Python or Ruby would be beneficial as well as exposure to deploying Java applications
• Exposure to deployment of automated build systems such as Cobbler, Kickstart or FAI.
• Experience with a configuration management language e.g Puppet, Chef
• Exposure to at least one: Apache, Glassfish, Tomcat
• Understand how to secure, scale and monitor virtual Linux infrastructures
• Release management processes, working with multiple development & project teams

Requirements

    Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
    3+ years of System Admin/Development experience
    3+ years of experience working in the different phases of development
    3+ years of writing system requirements
    Understanding of data gathering/analysis
    Knowledge of the Software(System) Development Life Cycle
    Experience working with test plans and test cases
    Experience facilitating Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions
