Working in a small geographically diverse team based in Edinburgh.
Providing Wintel support to the EMEA estate. Approx 600 servers and the optimised countries.
Mainly project related work, we do not do the day to day BAU support, that is handled by another team. We liaise closely with them and provide support when required.
Requirements:
HP SIM, HP SMH, HP Blade Enclosures/Servers, VMware, Platespin. The estate is primarily HP kit, hence the reason for HP Server support experience.
Scripting knowledge would be very beneficial as a lot of our work is investigation related. Writing scripts for the team might be required. A good understanding of LDAP would also be beneficial .
A good general knowledge of Windows server support will be required . Good understanding of networking, AD, DNS, DHCP.
Concise accurate reporting, so good communication skills and knowledge of Excel etc are a must.
