Bailey Finch Associates are delighted to assist our client for the role of Quality Manager within their business
Technical contact for legal and consumer safety aspects and requirements of business .
Clear understanding of legal and consumer safety implications and detail requirements of certifications and testing.
Agree aligned testing protocols and certifications with Suppliers for legal and consumer safety compliance.
Keeps abreast of legal and consumer safety developments and changes which affect the business.
Ensure due diligence at all times.
Establish concession / quarantine process with business sign off and ownership.
Review due diligence testing programme for appropriateness and effectiveness.
Escalate quality , legal and safety concerns.
Define Supplier process focussed on legal, ethical, H&S and quality requirements .
Integral member of NPI ( New Product Introduction) process.
Identify potential risk within the supply chain and NPI process.
Provide impartial detail of risk implications for quality concerns.
Responsible for Supplier Programme covering quality, standards and KPIs.
Liaise directly with Suppliers on quality and continuous improvement.
Establish appropriate KPIs for category quality .
Ensure specifications are agreed with suppliers detailing key quality requirements , measurement and inspection plans.
Set and agree AQL checks and/or builds against potential , new and established products in accordance with required protocol.
Proactively interrogate quality findings for trends and opportunities.
Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues.
Coordinate A.I process .
Create and agree appropriate specification format.
Instigate appropriate inspection and testing by third party accredited test houses.
Contribute to Company policy and strategy.
Develop appropriate procedures and work instructions for Quality Management System.
Maintain and utilise Quality System.
Keep accurate ,timely and transparent quality records .
Prepare period report.
Conduct internal and external process/ business audits .
Drive ,set and agree corrective and preventative action plans.
Establish, set and achieve budget requirements.
Principles Skills & Attributes:
Knowledge of QA & QC ( preferably in related retail or FMCG environment).
Good communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Effective influencing and negotiation skills at all levels of business.
Logical thinker.
PC literate with working knowledge of MS Office.
