The role will involve:
To manage and analyse the company’s media expenditure through liaising with media buying agencies to ensure best ROI and to improve the perception of our client amongst key audiences through the use of PR, Sponsorship and CSR activities.
The role will involve:
The Media budget is managed and analysed including the phasing of spend allocation to each media type.
The maximum return is gained on the monies spent through reviewing individual branch support and liaising regularly with Retail.
Econometrics are regularly undertaken
Demographic segmentation of the customer base is fully understood and that results are communicated along with associated actions
Media Schedules are developed and checked in association with their Media Buying agency ensuring optimal frequency and coverage on all media types
Where appropriate, trials are proposed and arranged in various media and report on cost effectiveness
Communication with key departments is driven to ensure promotional plans and media schedules are communicated in a timely and effective manner
Cross functional working with the Web Controller and Marketing Production Controller is a key focus to ensure logical implementation of the marketing strategy
Grand Opening plans are organised and communicated to relevant stores
Analyse media spend and report on subsequent ROI
All invoices are managed and reconciled with regard to expenditure relating to media spend
Working with media agency to produce media summaries for all new branches
Monthly competitor reporting working with media agency
Develop the PR and media relations strategy for the company and implement with support from agencies where appropriate.
Build relations with the Consumer media in order to increase positive coverage in Consumer facing media.
Build brand reputation with Consumer Media and opinion formers so it is the first port of call for comment and features and regarded as the expert on anything to do with the product reflecting their market leading status.
Build awareness of new product launches and key areas of product focus through the use of PR and media relations
Develop a CSR strategy and activation plan to include sponsorship and partnerships
The Ideal candidate will have:
Media planning experience
Strong negotiation skills
Understanding of econometric modelling
Analytical skills
Problem solver
Campaign planning skills
Retail/ FMCG experience within client and/ or agency Able to lead and influence peers Customer-focused (Both external and internal customers)
Exposure to PR
Able to write press releases
PR related experience
Experience of working with agencies
