Composite Research Engineer

Our client is a first tier supplier to the global aviation Industry, a leader in the manufacturing of highly complex areostructures and engine products. This position is looking for a ‘hands on’ individual with practical composite processing experience, with a good practical knowledge of workshop tools/equipment along with being able to work as an integrated team member.

With a proven track record of developing concept ideas through realisation, you will understand how to create a stable process through structured equipment and analysis of input parameters against output performance measurements. As a Composite Research Engineer you will have a disciplined and thorough approach to documenting your findings with strong computer skills along with possessing the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

The successful candidate will have a sound Aerospace engineering background with a minimum of 2 years practical experience in processing composite materials. Sound project management skills and experience with budgetary control and experience of managing risk would be beneficial.

An appreciation of automated processes used in composite processes used in composite manufacturing and aircraft assembly would be advantageous although not essential.
